BABYMETAL

About

Too often reduced to a novelty concept, BABYMETAL helped define kawaii metal by pairing Suzuka Nakamoto's clear, commanding vocals with arrangements that jump from speed metal and power metal to downtuned modern riffing and electronic hooks without losing momentum. The self-titled Babymetal and Metal Resistance proved that the collision of idol-pop structure and festival-scale metal could produce songs that are meticulously crafted rather than merely provocative.
