About
Filed under stoner rock for their fuzz-caked early records, Elder long ago outgrew the tag: from Lore (2015) onward, Nick DiSalvo's move from Boston to Berlin turned the band into a 70s-prog outfit with a doom metal chassis. Ten-minute songs, clean and unforced vocals, and riffs that resolve into mellotron and synth rather than simply repeat.
