About
Dismissed at a glance as death metal with strings bolted on, Fleshgod Apocalypse write the orchestra first: Francesco Ferrini's conservatory arrangements carry the melody while blastbeats hold the floor. Opera, from 2024, pushes that furthest yet, with Veronica Bordacchini's soprano a full member of the band rather than a guest ornament.
