About
HIM fused dark gothic romance with heavy riffs, lush melodies and a strong pop-rock instinct, creating their self-described “love metal” sound. Ville Valo’s deep, expressive vocals and the band’s knack for enormous choruses gave their melancholic songs a rare crossover appeal without sacrificing their nocturnal, distinctly Finnish atmosphere.
