Immortal

About

Immortal transformed Norwegian black metal into something uniquely their own, replacing satanic orthodoxy with the legendary frozen realm of Blashyrkh and a relentless celebration of winter, battle, and Northern mythology. Across every era—from the raw fury of Diabolical Fullmoon Mysticism and Pure Holocaust to the majestic riff mastery of At the Heart of Winter and beyond—the band has remained one of extreme metal's most distinctive voices. Their influence extends far beyond black metal, inspiring countless artists through unforgettable guitar work, iconic imagery, and consistently powerful songwriting. More than three decades after their formation, Immortal stands as one of the genre's undisputed legends, proving that true frost never melts.
