About
Isis shaped post‑metal by stretching tension across long arcs, pairing Aaron Turner’s sandblasted roar with riffs that swell from quiet drift to tidal force. Albums like Oceanic (2002) show how their patient layering and dynamic restraint forged a sound both crushing and luminous, setting a template countless bands still trace.
