Blacktown, Australia
About
Blacktown's Thy Art Is Murder dragged deathcore out of the underground and onto Australia's album charts, trading the genre's early scene trappings for a colder, death metal-first assault of blasting drums and mid-paced, headbanging chug. Holy War (2015) was the peak of that crossover, a furious anti-religious broadside that debuted in the ARIA top ten.
