Jørn "Necrobutcher" Stubberud is the co-founder and longtime bassist of Mayhem, widely regarded as one of the foundational figures of Norwegian black metal. Having formed the band in 1984 alongside Euronymous and Manheim, Necrobutcher has remained one of the few constants throughout Mayhem's turbulent history. His aggressive bass playing and uncompromising dedication helped shape the band's early identity and preserve its legacy through decades of lineup changes and musical evolution. Beyond his role as a musician, Necrobutcher is considered a living link to the origins of the Norwegian black metal movement and one of its most respected veterans.
