Per-Joar "Dolk" Spydevold is the founder, vocalist, lyricist, and primary creative force behind Kampfar, one of Norway's most influential pagan black metal bands. Since establishing the band in 1994 after departing Mock, he has shaped Kampfar's unmistakable identity through music inspired by Norse mythology, pre-Christian spirituality, Scandinavian folklore, and the untamed Norwegian wilderness. Renowned for his commanding stage presence and versatile vocal delivery—ranging from venomous black metal rasps to ritualistic chants and expressive clean passages—Dolk has remained fiercely committed to artistic authenticity throughout the band's career.
